SAND CASTING

Our foundry offers two sand casting processes: clay sand horizontal molding line casting and shell mold casting. The most suitable process is selected based on product characteristics and performance requirements.

Clay Sand Horizontal Molding Line

Our foundry operates three automatic clay sand molding lines, each approximately 328 feet long. The lines are classified by casting material. After machines fill the flasks with clay sand, the flasks are arranged on the casting lines via conveyor belts. Workers horizontally pour molten metal from ladles into the flasks to fill the cavity. Once the castings solidify, they are cooled. The flasks are manually broken, and the castings are transported by conveyor belt to a vibrating machine for sand removal, yielding castings with a preliminary shape. These castings are then sent to the next workshop for further processing.

Shell Mold Casting

Compared with clay sand casting, this process has better dimensional accuracy, higher productivity and lower labor requirements. It is usually used for small and medium-sized parts that require high precision. At present, GiantFortune Industry has more than 30 shell molding machines.
